Best Western Giddings Inn & Suites

The location war was chosen by ourselves so for us it was great. Service depends on who is on the shift. An absolutely NO GO are the breakfast hours. Who the hack will wake up before 8 on vacation??? Breakfast was only served at the buffet ( we don't meet any guest who wants to be served by someone) they switched 8 o clock the lights in the breakfast rooms even if you sit there. And someone rushed into 8 o'clock doesn't't get any coffee... Sorry but that impudence and a shame on BEST WESTERN HOTELS!!! We've book enlighten best Western because we relieyed on the recommendation but in this case it seems to be a big mistake BUT the roons where clean after claim die a very noisy A/C we could switch the room. The other room were clean as well and the A/C was so much better and less noisy. Rooms a give a lot of space and the maid doesn't speak English was so kind. Two star deduction for the inconvenience of the breakfast services and hours Breakfast hours are 6 through 8!!!

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and quick to take care of guests, and the room was spacious and clean. I wish the breakfast and pool hours were extended since we had small kids with us, but staff did make mention of the hours ahead of time so that was appreciated. Nice, quiet hotel.

Another great stay! This is a nice clean hotel. And it's very very quiet. Most of all I appreciate the ceiling fan in the room. Nice staff too. I can't speak to the breakfast because hotels never have a breakfast late enough for me. I barely get up in time to get out by check out!

The beds are very comfortable. Nice TV. Our sink was slow to drain as another review said. I guess we got the same room. The hallways are dark and it’s creepy. The breakfast was just what you’d expect from a free hotel breakfast.

Stayed here for one night. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Completely remodeled. The staff was very nice and provided breakfast to us an hour after the stated hours. Room was beautiful and very comfortable. Shower had very good water pressure! Will stay here again if in the area.

Wednesday we checked in and went to take a shower after our long drive. The hotel has a water softener so I was very careful because the soft water seems to make things more slick. Placed the rubber mat on the tub floor and after getting in turned around and fell. The only grab bar is on the wall behind the curtain when you are showering. I grabbed for it and the wet shower curtain slipped away from grab bar allowing me to fall onto my back up on the tub edge and pulling the curtain down as I then fell outside onto the floor. Thank God I did not hit my head. As soon as I was able to get up, dressed and downstairs I let the lady that checked is in know what happened. Her response was. "Oh". I told asked her if they had any better rubber mats and she said "no". I said I guess I'll have to go to Walmart and she said "ok". That was all she said. No one checked to see how I was after that.

Hotel was great and the front desk clerk was polite and got us checked in quickly. Hotel was clean, fresh bedding and the bed was amazing I slept like a baby also pillows was just right and room size was nice they also had a ceiling fan that could of used a little dusting but everything worked and in good condition. I would of probably give it a 10 star if I could. I am very pleased with this Best Western and would recommend it if you are in the area.
